The project

Ordinance 2026-03 (adopted March 2026) replaced the Mixed Use Downtown zone of the Kings Landing Redevelopment Plan with a Mixed Use zone requiring the zone as a whole to produce 54 age restricted affordable units. Ordinance 2026-18, introduced on first reading 26 October 2026, repeals and replaces that same Mixed Use zone text again: homes up to 7 units an acre with a 20 percent affordable set-aside, and the zone will produce up to 522 units total (104 affordable, of which 54 would be age restricted) plus a minimum 67,860 sq ft of nonresidential construction.

What usually comes next

The board usually hears the application at a public meeting. The hearing can be moved to a later date.
